Siam Shopping Area and MBK : the most attractive shopping place in Bangkok

Siam Square is the land belonged to Chulalongkorn University. Before becoming shopping place, this area was farm and rice field with the small community settled.

Fifty years ago when community moved out, The university developed this land to be trading area, and cinemas. The old cinemas from that period are still operated. Siam Square is known as shopping centre on the ground in CBD.

Here is the biggest hanging out place for Bangkok teenagers especially on the weekend. They are here for shopping, watching movie and taking extra tutorial courses. For tourists, Hard Rock Café, is recommended for relaxing at night and it is also closed to Novotel Hotel. Opposite Siam Square at Praram I road, they are the most modern shopping centres in Thailand. Siam Paragon and Siam Discovery, locating here.Tourists will be able to buy brand name products at here moreover, there are many coffee shops and restaurants to hang out.

Moreover, at the underground floor of Siam Paragon, you will be amazed with a huge fish tank. Siam Ocean World is the largest aquarium in South East Asia. It’s very surprised that you will be able to see sharks and other marine life in the middle of Bangkok.

Beside, the shopping centre, opposite to MBK at Phraram I Road, tourists who enjoy visiting art gallery can get into Bangkok art and cultural centre.
